Abolla\r\n3\r\nResearch entitled Farmers Responses to the Use of Rice Straw as Organic\r\nMulch in Watermelon Cultivatition in Rongga Koe Vilage, East Manggarai Regency,\r\nWas conducted in August- September 2020 in Mekar 1 and 2 farmers groups in\r\nRongga Koe Vilage, Komba City District, East Manggarai Regency. The aim of this\r\nstudy is to determine the response of farmers to the use of rice straw use organic\r\nmulch and to find out what factors influence the farming community in responding to\r\norganic mulch tecnology.\r\nResearch includes knowledge and attitudes measured in aspects related to\r\nfarmers, level of education and length of farming. The population of this study was\r\nthe Mekar 1 and 2 farmer groups, which included 65 people and made the sample,\r\nnamely the farmer groups with a total of 39 people.\r\nThe results of the analysis show that the response of farmers to organic rice\r\nstraw mulch technology is in the high category, with an average scoreof 2,60. Based\r\non the the results of the analysis using the Speraman Rank Correlation Test formula,\r\nit shows that age, education level, suitability do not have a significant relationship.\r\nWhile thr length of farming and area have a significant relationship with the response\r\nof farmers as organic mulch in watermelon cultivation.\r\nKey Words : Farmer Response, Organic Mulch Technology, Rice Straw, Watermelon\r\nPlants\r\nInformation :\r\n1) The Author\r\n2) Supervisor 1\r\n3) Supervisor 2",
