BOKASHI FERTILIZER IN WEST LEWOLEBA DISTRICT NUBATUKAN LEMBATA

Research on Farmers' Response to the Utilization of Rice Straw Waste into Bokashi Fertilizer In West Lewoleba Subdistrict Nubatukan Lembata, has been conducted in August 2020. This study aims to determine the response of farmers and factors related to the response of farmers. The method used in this study is the method of dissemination of technology in the form of demonstration of ways and demonstration of plots involving farmers of respondents starting from the initial stage of preparation, skill counseling, application of technology in the form of demonstration of ways, to observation of the results of demonstrations of ways. Demonstration of ways intended to train farmers in processing hay into bokasi fertilizer. After that the results of making bokashi will be presented to the land demontrasi plot on mustard plants then measure the growth of plants, namely: high plants and wet weight at harvest age (25 days after planting). Data analysis using Spearman Score and Rank. The results of this study showed that there was a change in farmers' knowledge from the previous low (1.56) to high (2.38) and the attitude of farmers previously disagreed (1.38) to agree (2.35 in adopting Bokashi Jerami Padi technology. Factors that have a real relationship affect the response of farmers, in the application of technology Bokashi rice straw is age (rs= 0.796**) , long farming (rs= 0.441*) and technology characteristics (rs= 0.537**).
