The response of farmers to production pruning techniques on Arabica coffee (coffea arabica) in Sobo Village, Golewa Barat Districk, Ngada Regency

This study entitled the response of farmers to production pruning techniques in arabica coffee plants in Sobo Village, West Golewa District, Ngada Regency. The purpose of this study was to determine the response of farmers to the application of production cutting technology to Arabica coffee and the relationship between internal and eksternal factors on the response of farmers to the applicaton of pruning technology. The research method used is discussion and demonstration methods. To collect data, interviews and questionnaires were distributed before and after the demonstration with 30 respondents. The data analysis method used in this research is the Likert scale test and the Rank Sparman (rs) correlation test. Based on the results of the analysis using the Likert scale of farmers knowledge and attitudes before and after axtension, what was tested was a change in farmer’s knowledge before (1.62) low and after (2.40) high and farmer attitudes before hestating (1.55) to accept (2.47). this shows that the farmer shows a good (positive) response to the application of pruning technology for coffee production, while the internal and exsternal factors related to the response are internal factors, age and length of farming with a value of rs 0.570 and 0,447 and external factors, namely technological characteristics with the value of rs 0.504.
