The Response Of Shallot Farmers To The Use Of Rice Straw As Organic Mulch In Busalangga Village, Rote District, Northwestern District Of Rote Ndao By: Nofandri Solumodok1), Donatus Kantur, SP, MP), Herlyn Djunina, S.Sos, MA3) Research on the response of shallot farmers to the use of rice straw as organic mulch in Busalngga Village, Rote Barat Laut District, Rote Ndao regency which was carried out from July to September 2020. The purpose of this study is to determine the responese of farmers to the use of rice straw as organic mulch and to determine the response relationship. Farmers with internal and external factor on the utilization of rice straw. This research uses descriptive and experimental methods and analysis mothods and analysis methods, namely the Licart Scale and the Sperman Rank. The results showed that the farmer’s knowledge was included in the high category with an average score of 2,64 (high category) and the attitude that was classified in the accept category with an average value of 2,75. The relationship between internal and external factors on the response of farmers in the use of rice straw waste as organic mulch has a significant relationship, namely education, added value, time efficiency, convenience, suitability, complexity and profit.
