THE LEVEL OF KNOWLEDGE AND ATTITUDES OF FARMERS ABOUT THE USE OF BOTANICAL PESTICIDES OF GARLIC IN CONTROLLING THE PEST OF STINK BUGS IN KASIH BUNDA FARMER GROUPS OF MANLETEN VILLAGE, TASIFETO TIMUR DISTRICT, BELU REGENCY Affrida Ch. Muhammad, S.Pt., M.Si³⁾ Research on the knowlodge and attitudes of farmers in the use of botanical garlic pesticides to control pests of walang sangit paddy fields in the Kasih Bunda farmer in Manleten Village, Tasifeto Timur sub-district took place from September to oktober 2020. Research purposes 1) to find out knowlodge and the attitude of lowland rice farmers in the use of botanical garlic pesticides in controlling the stink bug 2) to determine rhe relationship between internal dan exsternal factors on the knowlodge and the attitude of lowland rice farmers in the use of botanical garlic pesticides in controlling the stink bug. This study used a combination of survey and experiment with 30 responden. The data obtained were analyzed using scoring analysis and rank spearman correlation. The results showed that based on the demonstration method, the knowledge and attitudes of farmers towards the botanical pesticide technology of garlic in controlling the stink bug is in the high category with a score of 2,60 on knowledge and 2,74 for attitude. Factors related to knowledge and strong correlation were education level, technological characteristics and extension methods, while those related to attitudes and strong correlations were education level and area.
