<note>The of this study was to find out the effect of submersion with the various of
concetration of the CMD to the imminence and duration storage of Marigold
flower and to obtaining the best concentration of the CMD to defend the
imminence and storage time of Marigold flower. The design used in this research
was complete randomized design with single factor which consisted of 9 levels
treatments those are P0: 300 ml of aquades (control), P1: 2 ml CMD + 298 ml of
aquades, P2: 4 ml CMD + 296 ml of aquades, P3: 6 ml CMD + 294 ml of
aquades, P4: 8 ml CMD + 292 ml of aquades, P5: 10 ml + CMD 290 of aquades,
P6: 12 ml CMD + 288 ml of aquades, P7: 14 ml CMD + 286 ml of aquades, P8:
16 ml CMD + 284 ml aquades. Each treatment repeated 3 times, thus there were
27 of treatments units. Every treatment unit consisted of 3 footstalk of the
Marigold flower, therefore the amount of footstalk were 81 stalks. The parameter
observed were supporting parameters such as acidiy measurement concentration
(pH), room temperature measurement (ºC) and room humidity measurement (RH),
whereas the main variables are such as absorbed solution (ml), fresh of flower
petals percentage (%), and the withered of flower petals percentage (%). All the
data had been analyzed as statistically using the VARIANCE of analysis was to
knowing the treatment effects. If there were getting significant effect, thus it could
be proceed with the least significant different (LSD) test (5%). The result of the
research has pointed out that by giving the CMD had been significant effect to the
absorbed volume of Marigold flower, however it did not gave the significant
effect to the fresh and withered of petals flower percentage of Marigold. The best
concentration of giving the CMD on Marigold flower (Tagetes erecta L.)  was at
the treatment of P3 (6 ml CMD + 294 ml of aquades).
