"notes": "The kailan plant is a type of cabbage-cabbage vegetable that contains nutrients\r\nneeded by the human body, such as protein, minerals, and vitamins A and C.The\r\ncultivation of baby kailan is carried out using polybags, planting in polybags needs\r\nto be considered the planting media, the planting media has a function to supports\r\nthe plant, provides nutrients and provides a place for roots to grow and develop.\r\nCorn cobs waste can be used as a planting medium by making charcoal. Corn cobs\r\nbiochar can have a positive effect on plants compared to charcoal burning openly.\r\nThis study aims to determine: 1. The effect of the composition of the planting\r\nmedium of corncob biochar and soil on the growth and yield of baby kailan plants,\r\n2. The composition of the planting medium of corncob biochar and soil which has\r\nthe best effect on growth and yield of baby kailan plants. The research design used\r\na completely randomized design (RBD) with the factors being the composition of\r\nthe corncob and soil growing media consisting of 5 treatments and 5 replications so\r\nthat a total of 25 experimental units. The treatments tried were 100% corn cobs\r\nbiochar (K1) 100% soil (K2) 75% soil and 25% corn cobs biochar (K3) 50% soil\r\nand 50% corn cobs biochar (K4) 25% soil and 75% cobs biochar corn (K5). The\r\nresults showed that the differences in the composition of the growing media had a\r\nvery significant effect on chlorophyll, height, number of leaves, wet weight and dry\r\nweight on baby kailan plants. The composition of maize growing media and cobs of\r\nbiochar soil (75% and 25%) gave the best results for leaf chlorophyll, height,\r\nnumber of leaves, wet weight and dry weight of baby kailan plants.\r\n \r\nKey words: composition of growing media, Baby Kailan results.",
