Litianak mangrove forest does not yet have good ecotourism design, high aesthetic value and no ongoing efforts. This study aimed to obtain a mangrove forest landscape design based on ecotourism which has aesthetic and functional values for sustainable protection of the area. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative method with the implementation stage of the research including initial observation, inventory, analysis and synthesis, planning concept making and area design. The landscape design of the area was made by compiling the basic concept of the Litianak mangrove forest landscape as an ecotourism area that has a sustainable natural carrying capacity. The division of space in the area is divided into a reception zone (the first space visited by visitors), a tourist zone (the main place for tourism activities) and a core zone (a mangrove forest conservation area that cannot be entered by tourists due to the recovery period). The benefits of this research were as input in landscape management to obtain optimal and sustainable zoning. The results of interviews and observations stated that the concept of management of the Litianak mangrove forest was not optimal, so that a system plan should be created that was synergized from the functional and aesthetic aspects of the area. The ecotourismbased mangrove forest landscape design in Holulai Village was made into a design that has a coastal environment that can be used as a main tourist destination because it has high aesthetic value with the addition of existing facilities in the Litianak mangrove forest area namely:trash bins, information boards, cafes, towers, gazebos, bridges, shops and garden areas. The design developed has a sustainable effort as a natural carrying capacity on the beach by preparing an information board containing: 1) prohibitions and sanctions for visitors who violate the information board, 2) ways of protecting and managing the coastal environment so that it is sustainable and sustainable Keywords: Design, Landscape, Mangrove Forest, Ecotourism
