The purpose of this study was to find out the effect of planting media on the growth of red betel cuttings and to obtain the best planting media for the growth of red betel cuttings. This study was conducted since June until July 2020, in a practice Land of Public Agricultural Politeknik Kupang. This study used a randomized group design (RGD) with one factor and was repeated four times. Factors were tested with eight levels of treatment, namely: P0 = soil, P1 = soil and bokashi, P2 = soil and sand, P3 = soil and husk charcoal, P4 = soil, bokashi, and sand, P5 = soil, bokashi, and husk charcoal, P6 = soil, sand, and husk charcoal and P7 = soil, bokashi, sand, and husk charcoal. The data gained were analyzed using manner examination and if there is a real effect, then continued with 5% BNJ test. The result shows that soil media effected towards the growth of red betel cuttings and soil planting media, bokashi, husk charcoal (P5) with the comparison 1:2:2, give the best effect towards shoot growth time (days), number of shoots (strands), number of leaves (strands), plant height (cm), stem diameter (cm) and root volume (ml) of red betel cuttings.
