The objectives of this study are: (1.) To identify agricultural waste which has the potential as a local feed source for ruminants. (2.) Knowing the level of agricultural waste production on ruminant farms. (3.) Knowing the carrying capacity of agricultural waste for ruminant livestock businesses. This research has been conducted from June to August 2020 in Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency by taking data from four sample villages, namely Tanah Merah Village with an agricultural land area of 160 Ha, Noelbaki Village with an agricultural land area of 128 Ha, Oelpuah Village with a land area agriculture is 71 Ha, and Oelnasi Village with agricultural land area is 50 Ha. The parameters examined in this study were (1.) The type of agricultural waste that has the potential to be used as ruminant animal feed. (2.) Production of agricultural waste produced in the form of fresh or dry materials. (3.) Carrying capacity of agricultural waste produced based on the dry matter requirement of 1.ST. It can be concluded that the types of agricultural waste that can be used as animal feed in the District of Central Kupang are corn straw, rice straw, and sweet potato leaves. The average production of fresh materials for Central Kupang District is corn straw 24,11 tons / year, rice straw 12,1 tons / year, and sweet potato leaves 2,03 tons / year. The average dry matter production for Central Kupang District is corn straw 2,03 tons / year, rice straw 1,03 tons / year, and cassava leaves 0.12 tons / year. The carrying capacity of agricultural waste based on dry matter production in Central Kupang District is 1.39 ST / ha / year.
