This study used the seeds of kalopo (Calopogonium mucunoides) obtained from Malinjak Village, Central Sumba Regency. The seeds have been selected by immersing them in cold water so that good seeds and dameged seeds can be idenfified and then separated and ready to soak and plant on the media or on cotton. This study used analysis of variance based on a completely randomized design ( CRD) with 5 treatments and 4 repetitions of the treaments: cold water (control) , hot water immersion 60 o c with a time difference of 3 minutes, 5 minutes, 77 minutes, 9 minutes.. this research was conducted for 2 weeks starting from 12 september to 26 september 2020. The main variables in this study were the germination capacity of the seeds, germation time and the time early (callopogonium mucunoides) in hot water at 60 o c had no significant effect (P<0.05) on germination with the average PO (46,57%) P3 ( 38,34%) P5 77,75%) P7 (92,50%) P9 (89,75%). Germination time P0 (3,14 hari) P3 (4,85 hari) P5 (5,77 hari) P7 ( 5,95 hari) P9 ( 5,78). The time early of sprout PO (44,00%) P3 (68,00%) P5 (80,75%) P7 (83,23%) P9 (81,00%). From the results of the study, it can be concluded that soaking using hot water at 60 o c did not significantly affect the growth of kalopo seeds for 7 minutes, which was the treament that produced the best growth of kalopo.
