UKURAN ORGAN PENCERNAAN AYAM BROILER FASE GROWER YANG DIBERI JENIS RANSUM BASAL DAN FEED ADDITIVE BERBEDA
XML JSONMaize – soybean meal is the common basal diet used in poultry industry. The grade
inclusion maize can be decreased by using the alternative feed ingredient such as sago
and rice bran. However, sago and rice bran contains a number of antinutritional
factors (ANFs), so the supplementation of feed additives such as enzymes and
symbiotic with the correct level is expected to reduce the negative effects of ANFs in
the diets containing sago and rice bran. The objective of the present study was to
evalube the effect of different types of basal diets and feed additives on the digestive
organ size of broiler. A total of 264 male day old chick (Lohmann strain) were
randomly distributed to 24 pens (11 birds/pen). The experiment was designed using a
2 x 4 factoral randomized design with 2 main effects which were basal diet types
(maize-soy; maize-sago-rice bran-soy) and feed additives control, AvizymePhyzyme,
Allzyme,
Synbiotic),
thus
there
were
8
treatment
with
three
replicates.
The
results
showed that type of basal diets (TBD) significantly (P < 0,05) affected the
relative weight or liver, gizzard and colon. Feed additives (FA) significantly (P <
0,01) affected the relative empy weight of small intestine. TBD x FA interaction was
significantly (P < 0,05) affected the relative weigt of liver. Type of basal diets
affected (P < 0,05 to 0,001) the relative length of proventriculus, gizzard and colon.
Feed additive affected (P < 0,01) the relative length of proventriculus, gizzard, and
small intestine. The interaction between TBD and FA was significant (P < 0,05 to
0,001) to ventriculus, proventriculus, and caecum. The treatments affected (P < 0,05)
the relative digesta weight of caecum of broilers. In conclusion, 1) Broilers fed basal
diet without sago had higher relative weigth of liver and gizzard but still in normal
weigth; 2) Basal diet without sago produced lengther proventriculus and gizzard.
Except for caecum, the digesta weigth was not affected by ll treatment diets; 3) the
supplementation of 0.05% Allzyme SSF-E in the diets containing sago produced
higher empty weigth of small intestine and lengther proventriculus, gizzard and small
intestine than other treatments; thus it will increase the nutrient digestion and
absorption.
