<note>This research aims to evaluate the nutrients quality of turi plants given by liquid
organic fertilizer (LOF) from banana weevil at different levels. The research has
been done in the location of fodder forage land of Animal Husbandry state in
Kupang state agriculture Polythenic for 3 months. This research consist of three
steps 1) making LOF, 2) cultivation of turi plants and 3) analysis of turi nutrients.
The experimental design were used in this study is a Randomized Block Design
(RBD) with five treatments namely of R0 (without LOF), R1 (50 mL LOF: 1 L
water), R2 (100 mL LOF: 1 L water), R3 (150 mL LOF: 1 L water) and R4 (10 g
NKP + 1 L water) as a comparison treatment. Each treatment was repeated five
time and the variables were observed are organic matter content, crude protein
content, crude fiber content, crude fat content and extracts ingredients without
nitrogen (EIWN). Analysis of variance showed that the level of liquid fertilizer
based on banana weevil only had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the organic
matter content, however it not give a significant effect (P>0.05) on crude protein,
levels of crude fiber, crude fat content and EIWN. In conclusion, that applying of
LOF based banana weevil with levels of 50 mL to 150 mL just make an influence
on organic matter content but it not influence on crude protein, crude fiber, crude
fat and EIWN levels of turi forage. Furthermore, LOF based on banana weevil
reduce the organic matter content of turi.
