THE IMPORTANCE OF USING GAME-BASED LEARNING (GBL) THE TEACHING OF FORESTRY DISCIPLINES

The modern teaching methods itself have a lot of variations, such as flipped classrooms, inquiry-based learning, gamification, and more. This article will point out the importance of game-based learning (GBL) in teaching and learning activity. The idea of GBL is making the class more interactive and engaging by using game. There are a lot of examples of game-based learning such as: role-playing games, puzzle games, card games, board games, online platforms, and virtual worlds. It is believed that Generation Z and Generation Alpha must have been exposed by a lot of types of games, so applying GBL in classrooms will motivate students to learn.
