PENGARUH DURASI PRIMING BENIH DALAM AIR KELAPA MUDA TERHADAP VIABILITAS DAN VIGOR BENIH PARIA YANG MENGALAMI DETERIORASI
XML JSON# Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menentukan durasi priming benih dalam air kelapa muda terhadap viabilitas dan vigor benih paria yang telah mengalami deteriorasi. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di Laboratorium dan screen house, Jurusan Tanaman Pangan dan Hortikultura, Politeknik Pertanian Negeri Kupang sejak bulan Juni sampai Agustus 2024. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) faktor tunggal yang terdiri atas 7 perlakuan yaitu 0, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, dan 18 jam durasi priming diulang 4 kali. Benih paria sebelum diberi perlakuan priming diuji kadar air dan daya tumbuh benih terlebih dahulu. Hasil pengukuran kadar air benih menunjukkan rata-rata kadar air benih sebesar 5,82 %, dan daya berkecambah 35 % sampai 50 %. Rendahnya tingkat perkecambahan kemungkinan disebabkan benih yang digunakan adalah benih yang telah mengalami deteriorasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan durasi priming berpengaruh nyata pada viabilitas dan vigor benih. Durasi priming 6 jam adalah terbaik terhadap daya tumbuh benih (90,00 %), kecepatan tumbuh (20,94 %/Etmal), keserempakan tumbuh (64,50 %), potensi tumbuh maksimum (90,50 %), berat segar kecambah (68,05 g), tinggi bibit (25,24 cm), jumlah daun (4,25 helai), dan berat segar bibit (14,45 %). # This study aims to study and determine the duration of priming seeds in young coconut water on the viability and vigor of pariah seeds that have undergone deterioration. The research has been carried out in the Laboratory and screen house, Department of Food Crops and Horticulture, Kupang State Agricultural Polytechnic from June to August 2024. The study used a single-factor Complete Random Design (RAL) consisting of 7 treatments, namely 0, 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, and 18 hours, the priming duration was repeated 4 times. Pariah seeds before being primed are tested for moisture content and seed growth first. The results of the measurement of seed moisture content showed an average seed moisture content of 5.82%, and germination power of 35% to 50%. The low germination rate is likely due to the seeds used are seeds that have undergone deterioration. The results showed that the priming duration had a real effect on the viability and vigor of the seeds. The priming duration of 6 hours was the best for seed growth power (90.00%), growth speed (20.94 %/Etmal), growth synchronicity (64.50%), maximum growth potential (90.50%), fresh weight of sprouts (68.05 g), seedling height (25.24 cm), number of leaves (4.25 pieces), and fresh weight of seedlings (14.45%).
